Like the rest of the country, the 6th Census 2022 was held in Bagerhat Sadar Upazila from June 15 to June 21, 2022. The first three zonal operations were completed as initial preparations. The entire upazila is divided into six zones to facilitate census work. One zonal officer was responsible for each zone. Barkat Ali was in charge of Zone-01 Bagerhat Municipality, Mr. Iftekhar Zaman SA was in charge of Zone-02 Karapara and Dema Union. Mr. Mithun Pal SA was in charge of Zone-03 Shatagombuz and Rakhalgachi Union, Mr. Ashraful Alam was in charge of Zone-04 Jatrapur and Khanpur Union, Mr. Mallik Abul Hossain was in charge of JSA, Zone-05 Bishnupur and Baruipara Union. Mr. Golam Mostafa, Retired JSA was in charge of Gen-06 Gotapara and Bemrata Union. We completed the census work on 21st with the untiring efforts of Zonal Officers for seven days.Mr. Dipankar Kumar Kundu, currently working as an upazila statistical investigator, served as the census coordinator of the upazila.
